Jumo Bimetallic Thermometer Dial Thermometer

The locally indicating standard thermometers operate on the principle of the bimetallic coil. The measuring principle is based on the bimetallic coil being exposed to the medium temperature in a stainless steel or brass immersion tube. As the temperature rises or falls, it twists. This twisting acts directly on the pointer via an axis. The pointer deflection is thus proportional to the temperature change.
